DISCIPLE RECORDINGS TOUR:
Dodge & Fuski, Barely Alive & Astronaut
Brisbane's newest bass party is set to hit Family, with round two scheduled for Friday the 24th of July.
Featuring the best in all things bass music.
Dodge & Fuski:
There's no doubt that Dodge and Fuski (Rob) is on a roll right now. With 4 consecutive Beatport number 1's in a row including the recent collaboration 'Poison' with Barely Alive, support from the biggest acts in the scene as well as YouTube behemoth UKF, and a sound that's really starting to come in his own, momentum is building at a rapid rate along with his reputation for his trademark 4-deck live shows.
DnF's label Disciple Recordings has also been rapidly growing since its inception last year. A joint venture with Never Say Die Records, the last year has seen 7 number 1 spots on Beatport, and with artists such as Barely Alive, Datsik, Pegboard Nerds, Eptic, Getter, Far Too Loud and many more involved both as featuring artists and remixers, it's showing no sign of slowing down.
Barely Alive:
With 5 consecutive Beatport number 1s, millions of Soundcloud & YouTube plays in the last 12 months off the back of their lively social media interaction, and collaborations and remixes for Zomboy, Datsik, Excision, Destroid, Astronaut, Dodge & Fuski, Getter and more under their belt, few can deny that Barely Alive are one of the most exciting and fastest growing bass music acts to emerge over the last year.
The duo from Massachusetts USA initially made a name for themselves when they released their debut ‘Lost In The Internet’ EP through Disciple Recordings in late February 2014 to global acclaim, hitting the number one spot across 4 different genre charts on Beatport in just 24 hours. This made Barely Alive an over night success and to this date have been labelled as the second highest selling dubstep artist of 2014 on Beatport (One place behind Skrillex!) by Beatport themselves.
Astronaut:
Astronaut are a producer duo from Bristol UK, whose talent for creating incredibly addictive melodies alongside savage basslines, has seen them recognised as one of the most exciting emerging talents in the electronic music world. They announced themselves in style with the release of ‘Apollo’, which gained massive support and has since amassed over a million plays on Youtube, Spotify and Soundcloud. To date, they have remixed for some of the biggest names around, including Zomboy, TC, Pegboard Nerds and have recently collaborated with the likes of Far Too Loud, Barely Alive and Dodge & Fuski.
The duo hold themselves to a very high standard in everything they do, something that is evident from their impressive on-going animated video series that accompanies their releases and has garnered them a lot of attention.
Astronaut have shown their versatility and talent by proving themselves across many of the electronic music genres. Their efforts have been recognised and celebrated by their peers, and have received DJ support from Zomboy, Project 46, Dyro, DVBBS, Henry Fong, Krewella, Lets Be Friends and Far Too Loud to name a few.
