Party: Bigote

Born Luca Evangelista in a little Italian seaside town between Rome and Naples called Gaeta (LT) but currently based in Berlin, Bigote fell in love with the art of djing watching his elder brother Benny spinning record in the lately 90s, the one who also tought him and helped him to move his first steps behind the decks.
He started to practice and improve his DJ skills between 2005 and 2006, when his savings melted away and the first pair of turntables landed in his bedroom: this was the beginning of a fantastic voyage.

One half of LBC since 2009 (www.lazybutcrazy.it), founder and co-organizer of Esperimenti Festival (www.facebook.com/esperimentifestival), RITC - Roma In The Club webzine contributor (www.romaintheclub.com), he began his career as a DJ at local events but later over the years he played at a lot of interesting parties in Italy and abroad, such as the ones hosted by Associazione Italiana Cultura Elettronica (Rome), Rehab (Terracina, IT), IAW (Barcelona), Aperipulp (Naples), Mermaid's (Rome), Periferica Festival (Rome), Sounday Off (Gaeta, IT) and Planet Rhythm (Berlin).

Furthermore, he has recently played for the RTS.FM video podcast series (http://vimeo.com/127192696) and he also has become a member of the Enzino's crew (http://soundcloud.com/enzinosrecs), a Berlin-based collective and vinyl-only label releasing re-edit, disco and house vibes and run by a mysterious little old guy.

His dj sets are representative of the growth he has experienced over the past few years. Listening to Music on a large scale of genres and through his experiences in Rome, Barcelona and Berlin, he has enriched his background: a journey without borders into house, disco, a little techno and the deeper and introspective side of electronica. The rule is “Do I like a record? Then I play it, no matter which genre it is”.

Bigote cites his most important influences as Motor City Drum Ensemble and Theo Parrish.
