Shake Rattle 'n' Roll are a Norfolk-based three-piece rock & roll band which plays a selection of hits – as well as lesser-known rock’n’roll songs – from the Golden Age of the late 1950s and early 1960s.
The band plays music made famous by a veritable roll-call of rock’n’roll legends, amongst them Elvis, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, The Everly Brothers, Carl Perkins, Buddy Holly, Gene Vincent and Eddie Cochran.
Authenticity is the key, with the line-up of lead and steel guitars, drums and string bass echoing the classic rock ’n’ roll sound which resonated round the dance-halls and ballrooms of that magical era.
Although all of the expected hits are covered, their set list also includes lesser-known numbers, bringing these great songs to a new audiences in the 21st century, nearly fifty years after it all began.
The band is proving popular, and a growing engagement list shows the huge demand for this kind of music: many gigs are already booked into the diary for 2016, in clubs, halls , festivals and holiday parks throughout East Anglia.
