An evening of live dance, film and physical theatre created by established and emerging artists from throughout the West Midlands.
Choreographers include Marcia Edwards, Hayley Guest, Tayla Wood and Anuradha Venugopal, with Ascension Dance Company, Flexus Touring Company, Dancefest’s Chance to Dance Company and Jigsaw Performance Company.
There will also be performance poetry by Alice Tomlinson and dance films by DFA (Dancefest Adults), Lauren Trim and students in Dance at the University of Worcester.
The essence of Dancefest is enabling people to find joy in dance through being confident and creative participants. In our eyes everyone is a dancer, regardless of age, ability or experience.
This informal performance is an opportunity for dancers and choreographers from different dance backgrounds to showcase their work, to watch and be inspired by each other, and to share their dance with an audience.
