This year's Derby Comedy Festival is set to be the biggest and best yet, with over 60 events planned throughout the city, with more venues than ever before.
Now in its third year, the festival will take place from Friday 29 April to Sunday 8 May. Working with local businesses and non-traditional performance spaces, Derby LIVE, Funhouse Comedy, Furthest From The Sea, Lost Boys and NCF Comedy have come together to bring you some of the finest comedic talents to Derby.
This year’s programme is packed full of stand-up, variety, outdoor and indoor events, with well-known national artists and a host of up and coming and emerging artists ready to fill you all with laughter.
Highlights include Derby favourite Mike McClean, Paul Tonkinson direct from supporting Michael McIntyre, Edinburgh Newcomer nominee Imran Yusuf, Derby-based Verbal Discharge, Vincent Saxby and Chris Brooker, the brilliantly funny Patrick Monahan and the outrageous Shazia Mirza.
The festival will take place in a host of venues, including Amber Café, Bean Caffé, The Blessington Carriage, Café Lavanta, the Cathedral Quarter, David Lloyd, Déda, Guildhall Theatre Mainhouse and Clubrooms, Market Place, The Maypole Café Bar and Theatre, The Old Bell Hotel and St Peters Cross.
