Sonntag: The start of a series of special Sunday parties

Swapping a maths degree for a pair of decks, Shonky admits at first he had no idea what to do with them. A dedicated clubber since his teens, his first real inception into the underground scene as a DJ came at the infamous Batofar afterhours in Paris. It was here he discovered a passion for the sounds of 90’s San Francisco house being played by then resident Dan Ghenacia, and it was the start of a long-lasting friendship between the pair, along with fellow Parisian Dyed Soundorom.Having already played around the world at the likes of Rex Club Paris, Gipsy Moscow, Louche Leeds and Club Der Visionaere Berlin, plus being a regular guest at one of his favourite clubs Panorama Bar, he is now even more hotly in demand as part of recently formed DJ outfit Apollonia. A venture with Dan Ghenacia and Dyed Soundorom, the trio play one vinyl each back-to-back for special extended sets of five hours or more. Hosting showcases at DC10 Ibiza, Movement Torino and BPM Festival Mexico, to name but a few.

Diego Krause is a DJ/producer who was born in Berlin’s eastern districts during the high times of synthesizer music as created by the likes of Kraftwerk and Jean Michel Jarre. Growing up in the 90′s, he was a direct witness to the golden era of Hip-Hop and spent years producing Hip-Hop beats before finally making the switch to house-music. He is Co-Owner of the Beste Modus imprint and runs his own label Unison Wax as
a self-release outfit. Diego’s sound is influenced by Funk and Soul, Garage and Deephouse and everything
in between that is both underground and raw. He has taken his sounds all over Europe and beyond – playing at clubs like Watergate and About Blank. His DJ-sets are powered by driving basslines with a raw 90’s texture and a tech-ish approach while always retaining a groovy, jacking feeling.

Cinthie is a Berlin based DJ and producer, and the creative mind behind the Beste Modus and Unison Wax record labels. A well-known figure in the German capital's house scene, Cinthie's career began as a teenager spinning records at clubs in the 1990s, before going on to sign with Low Spirit Recordings at the turn of the century and finding herself in demand at parties everywhere from Moscow to Mexico. These days Cinthie is a resident at [IPSE] and Humboldthain Club, where her vinyl-only DJ sets and intuitive ability to weave deep-yet-bassy mixes have seen her become a figurehead amongst the next generation of German house music virtuosos.

Ed Herbst grew into making music guided by a love for the jazz and soul music of the 60’s 70’s and its reincarnation and revival in the Hip-Hop sound of the 90’s as it was crafted by crews like Tribe Called Quest. This phase was instrumental in Ed’s process of understanding music and making it.After a more experimental period, he finally fell in love with house music, centering around New Jersey house and dub-infused garage but always feeding his dj-sets with a big range of different styles from NY house to deep Italo house and techno and Dubtech. Despite his wide variety of musical influences, Ed always handles the turntables with a very classic approach, delivering a sound that is deep and dubby but very bumpy at the same time.
