Party: Inthemix & Goodgod Small Club Present ‘New Year, New Music’

Goodgod Small Club and some of Australia’s top music sites are teaming up for a summer series showcasing some of the most exciting bands, and ones to watch for 2015.

On Saturday 17th January, come on over for an evening of fresh new electronic acts, that are as innovative as they come with inthemix picking the two acts for this event.

Zuri Akoko

“I make/play/enjoy handclap disco, hipthrust house and letchairdown techno.” Is how our first act has described his music. Frames admits that no genre is safe and nothing is taboo as Frames spins and warps his magic over 4-8 minute euphoric gems.

Zuri Akoko (which translates to 'beautiful noise maker') is everything the name says. An eclectic dreamy blend of atmospheric pads and vocals, her delicate attention to detail is seen with her intrinsic style of drum programming and a penchant for a decorative pallet of sounds. Her production influences take a left turn into Glitch, Trip - Hop, Down-Tempo and Experimental, while hints of Jazz and R&B vocal styles linger through- out.
