"The guiding spirit of underground Sydney nightlife lives again, just when we need it most - with Goodgod taking over the basement, choosing the DJs and hosting a celebration and reminder of the nightclub as an important cultural space. Over four giant evenings the Sydney Opera House Studio becomes a custom-built after-hours haven for 4 gold-standard selectors of impeccable taste each playing 3+ hour sets of dancefloor devotion – the perfect House to stage a taste of Berghain with the hugely sought-after Berlin-based Steffi alongside Sydney’s Magda Bytnerowicz.
Steffi has kept people dancing for more than a decade, running her own parties with clarity and poise, producing forward-thinking relentless techno on her labels Klakson and its subsidiary Dolly and DJing the world over, spreading her love for real, uncompromising dance music.
Magda will synergise her 10 year career playing her classy selections of ambient house and blistering techno in her second year in DJing under Sydney’s iconic sails for Goodgod’s Vivid LIVE takeover.
In 2015, the legendary underground Sydney venue Goodgod Small Club came to a dramatic end after bringing Sydney five unforgettable years of sweaty heady all night music. Providing the perfect low-lit and intimate scene for iconic DJ sets from the likes of Radiohead’s Thom Yorke, Four Tet and Jamie xx, the Goodgod crew also nurtured a loyal Sydney community – exploring with artistic breadth how people united can forge a transcendent journey through dance.
Debuting their first 100% custom Goodgod job in the Studio last year, the city-side champions of taste + fun will prove stronger, louder and more eclectic than ever in their presentation of the Goodgod Super Club Mk II, the 2017 limited edition."
