As one of Parlour’s long-standing residents, you can usually catch Mina hugging, dancing or making silly faces with just about anyone in the room. Whether it’s with our guests, Parlour staff or other DJs, he demonstrates an affinity to connect with others, both personally and through music.

In the last few years, Mina has evolved a style that reflects a unique personality, balancing hypnotic grooves, with uplifting undertones. His musical selection explores deep soundscapes, yet always manages to exploit the simple, feel good vibes that emanate from old-school funk and soul. At any given point in his sets, you can expect a sample from the likes of Tracy Chapman, Prince, Billy Ocean or other artists from the 80s, an era that resonates both with his upbringing and musical influences. His versatility and upbeat manner is well understood at Parlour, his home base yet Mina still continues to gain support today through other pockets within Toronto’s underground music scene.
