Stemming from working at his family business in Sardinia, Walter’s 12 years of bartending experience led him to be named as Head Mixologist at the world famous Connaught bar in 2015. Not only has the Connaught bar recently been awarded ‘Best GQ hotel bar’ of the year, ‘world best hotel bar at Virtuoso hotels awards’ and currently in the top 10 list at ‘World 50 Best Bars’, it has also been awarded World best bar and best international hotel bar of the year 2016 at tales of the cocktail in New Orleans. The past year has seen Walter collaborating with Beluga vodka, becoming their new Global ambassador, travelling around the world to share the fascinating heritage and premium taste of the vodka, whilst showcasing new ways to present cocktails.
Born in Slovakia, Boris’ career in the bar industry has taken him on adventures to London and Prague, where he carefully studied the art of Japanese mixology.
Having already won several awards for molecular mixology at the First Bar Show in Barcelona, in 2011 he won 1st place representing UK in the Disaronno European Mixing star final. 2013 saw him join the Michelin Star Galvin at Windows team as Bar Manager. In April 2016 Boris joined Gonzalez Byass (The London No1 Gin) as their International Brand Ambassador looking after their premium spirits division on International markets.
