The Message
Stylistically comparable to bands like “BadBadNotGood” and “Tauk”, “The Message”
has forged a sound that is 100% Grade A, farm fresh, grass fed, free range, organic Jazz
Funk. Musicians Marty White (drums), Kevin Plant (guitar, bass), Rick Hefner (sax,
flute), Mike Runyon (keys), Ian O’Hare (guitar) and an array of special guests shimmer
on some super funky organic jams.
Highlights from the bands new album “Music; Volume 2” include Aliki Ashman of “Ginger Bakers Airforce”
dropping a hauntingly beautiful vocal aria over the track “Jive Tauking” and Mike
Runyon of “The Broadcast” charging the ethos with his signature keyboard wizardry on
the track “Orange Patchouli”.
Recorded and mixed at The Music Plant in Hickory, NC, the self-released album “Music;
Volume 2” is available thru Amazon Music and at upcoming live shows.
