If there are boundaries yet to be broken, then you can bet that Sasha has got them in the crosshairs. Since 2011, his unique ‘Last Night On Earth’ label has showcased precocious producers James Teej, Henry Saiz, Kate Simko, Ejeca and Fur Coat (just to name a few).
His 'Involv3r' LP release in 2013 saw a combination of dance floor appreciation brewed within a beatless soundscape, featuring interpretations of tracks from The xx, Little Dragon and Foals alongside 'Shoot You Down', Sasha’s spine-chilling anthem featuring vocals from Kicki Halmos.
Frontiers out of the studio have been equally unsafe. The LNOE parties have brought with it the finest line-ups to clubbers around the world highlighted by a monthly residency at Space Ibiza featuring artists such as Scuba and Heidi whilst also taking command of his own stage at SW4.
In 2015 Sasha’s global network of events redefined underground music, amalgamating the most eclectic releases in house & techno with the LNOE imprint continuing to create a platform for artists to showcase their exciting new music.
However, Sasha characteristically did not decelerate when it came to his own musical output. Collaborations with Joel Mull coupled with his productions ‘Ether’ and ‘Vapourspace’ continued to reiterate his status in music’s illustrious hall of fame.
Whilst his dominance on the global circuit continued to grow, 2015 saw some of his most memorable performances to date highlighted by a sold out NYE show in Brixton. Running parallel with his own touring schedule, another defining moment saw the launch of his monthly LNOE podcasts, an amplification of his growing ambition.
Where 2015 seemed all encompassing for Sasha; 2016 seems to be just as prosperous. A euphoric January release from Italian duo Undercatt alongside events scheduled in Mexico, Miami and New York has set the pace for the coming months.
Sasha has continuously blurred the boundaries of music, art and culture, evident with LNOE’s growth into a global dance brand. With further releases & remixes scheduled including a ‘Late Night Tales presents Sasha: Scene Delete’, next to film scores and soundtracks, 2016 looks to be one of Sasha’s most phenomenal years to date.
