The Life and Times is heading west in June 2015. They will start working on a new TLAT record immediately following this tour so shows after this will be spotty one-offs for a while. Don't miss your chance to see them in Los Angeles!
"The Life and Times may evoke Passion Pit with their layered space age sounds, but this track by the same name is much heavier than those of the electro-pop group, wading through high-voltage sludge only to break out into frenetic psych rock and a manic guitar solo. A '90s pop rock feel keeps the song afloat.
Off their latest LP Lost Bees, the Kansas City natives continue to explore new territory a decade after their first release. The video for "Passion Pit" finds the band in a nice suburban home (theirs?) made surreal by their regressive behavior: jumping through piles of leaves, coloring, huddling in the bathroom to messily brush their teeth.
