The upstairs nightclub is where the party really happens at The Wickham. Open from 7pm until late on Friday and Saturday nights, this weekend nightspot is what the Brisbane LGBTI scene has been crying out for. Upstairs at The Wickham is pleased to host “Precious” by Harry K, launching every Saturday night from 6 September.
Unused for years following the closure of its predecessor, the Departure Lounge, upstairs has been reclaimed and transformed into a fabulous nightclub, inspired by American antebellum architecture. A colour palate of teal, grey and gold pay homage to the design’s bohemian influences. The old Departure Lounge bar, now restored to its formerly glory, takes centre stage once again, while decorative mouldings, chandeliers and Chinoiserie influences give an exotic, New Orleans-inspired feel.
Each area of the nightclub has its own purpose: to dance, relax or mingle. Our friendly barstaff know how to mix, serving a variety of reborn 70s and 80s cocktails with a modern twist.
So get your dancing shoes on and be prepared to get fabulous, because upstairs at The Wickham will have all the entertainment, music, beverages and people Brisbane has been begging to have in the one place.
