Saxophonist (and formerly orthopaedic surgeon) Art began playing Jazz with the Cambridge University Jazz Group alongside Dave Gelly and Dick Heckstall-Smith. He later played with blues masters Alexis Korner and Jack Bruce before embarking on a long time relationship with Stan Tracey, with whom he toured worldwide. Tonight’s band unites some of the leading forces on the contemporary scene to head on to fertile new territory.
