CD voorstelling
Met de band ‘Wolf in the Wood’, creëert jazzpianiste Anne Wolf een bijzondere sound, warm en groovy, feestelijk zou je bijna willen zeggen. Ze treedt bewust buiten haar eigen repertoire om meer vrije structuren op te zoeken in zorgvuldig uitgezochte standards en composities van onder andere Stevie Wonder, A.C. Jobim, Michel Petrucciani, Wayne Shorter, Charles Loos, Steve Swallow…
In de bezetting van de band vinden we naast Anne Wolf de bekende percussionist Chris Joris terug, waarmee Anne al meer dan tien jaar samenspeelt, en ook contrabassist Sal La Rocca (Toots Thielemans, Philip Catherine, Lee Konitz, Vaya Con Dios) en tot slot nog de fantastische top-level fluitist Stefan Bracaval.
Een live-CD ‘WOLF IN THE WOOD’ is opgenomen in The Jazz Station (Brussel) en uitgebracht in maart van dit jaar op Mogno Music.
