Party: Stanley Brinks (herman dune/wave pictures) + Freschard (berlin) + Passion Pusher + Froth

Stanley Brinks left his role as the coolest man in seminal indie folk band Herman Dune in order to become the most prolific songwriter in the western hemisphere, chronicling postmodern life with equal parts calypso, country and blues. He also plays a mean sax. He collaborates frequently with the best pop band in the uk (Wave Pictures) and was especially cheered during their Doune the Rabbit Hole festival appearance when he SHREDDED EVERYONE FACES OFF WITH LIGHTNING. On a guitar. Ina tastefully understated way.

Freschard is a charming, sharp songstress and almost as prolific as her partner/collaborator Brinks. Her keen ear for a pop melody is apparent throughout her work, and 'Cheese and Crackers', 'Roll Me a Cigarette' and 'Tweet Tweet' are all singalong live staples.

Together they live in Berlin and make amazing music together; 2014's beautiful modern C & W L.P 'Pizza Espresso' (out on Fika Recordings) is a great example of this. For this show though they shall be playing seperate sets, celebrating life aided by guitars, amps and voices.

Passion Pusher : One of the new scottish lofi pop underground's perennial favourites, PP is the sound of too many or not enough of the early morning wake ups and unrequited love of folks you couldn't know. I wish they'd let me hang out with them more.

FROTH : are changing their name but they don't have to because the other Froth haven't got nothing on them considering it's the best pop music about a spaceship made of a gala bingo casino crashing through space and also whimsy involving eterna-turtles and when one of them discovered that the chords to the eterna-turtle song were similar to Happy Together by the Turtles they decided to cover it even thought the rest of them didn't really know the band HOLY SHIT BEST STORY!!! Love this band, seen them more than any other glasgow band the last year and it'll never be anything but beautiful.
