Founded on DTLA rooftops and raised in Venice, CA basements, Bixel Boys experiment with sounds inspired by everything from R&B vocals to deep house to trap percussion; creating a high energy vibe free from common genre labels. Their first original release on Australia's Sweat It Out Records garnered critical acclaim from such acts as Treasure Fingers, Clockwork/RL Grime, LA Riots, Bag Raiders, and act such as Fedde Le Grande and A-Trak have not only pushed the record on their respective radio shows but also have been seen dropping the EP's title track at major dance festivals such as Tomorroworld and Sensation White.
Their Bring It On EP dropped on Nervous Records only two and half short months later with support from MakJ, Congorock, Kastle, Jesse Rose, Fred Falke, Hot Mouth, Adrian Lux, Jillionaire of Major Lazer, and more.
Bixel Boys started 2014 at a breakneck pace with official remixes for The Crystal Method, Architecture In Helsinki, Eliza Doolittle, Thomas Newson, Kayper and Kiesza. Their remix of the The Crystal Method's "Over It" has been listened to over 400k times on Soundcloud alone and joins their remix for Goldroom's "Embrace" and Kiesza's "Hideaway" among Bixel tunes having been played on Jason Bentley's "Morning Becomes Eclectic " radio show on KCRW (Los Angeles).
Their #FREELIFE t-shirts have been seen on the likes of Lil Jon, RL Grime, Baauer, TJR, Sammy Adams, Mat Zo, What So Not and many more. With an EP schedule to be release on Sweat It Out! Music in June, an Australian tour in July and a slew of US club and festival dates this summer, Bixel Boys are poised to be the breakout act of 2014.
